Message I have the single Oval on my own car and like it more than all the rest, but we all have different taste.
We use the Seebring Muffler for the quality and because they custom make the offset inlet for us to make the straighter piping that adds lots of power.
We designed the exhaust for the max performance....
By doing this it does increase the sound level.
The dual tip is much louder than the single tip and our single tip sound level is reasonable.
The dual tip has a "Y" inside the muffler to get "the look" and the area of the "Y" does little to drop sound. Basically to have "The Look" the last 1/3 of the muffler is not doing much of anything to drop sound level.
The single tip has the core going all the way through and as such is significantly quieter than the Dual Tip.
The Dual tip is the most popular, but we sell a large number of Single tips.
What is funny is most folks I have talked to always liked the dual tip , I have talked a number of people into the single tip to have the exhaust quieter and every time I get a call or email stating how much they love the Single Oval on the car and they like it better than the dual tip and they love the sound.
